Dr Roy Soiza
Principal Investigator, Grampian
Dr Sioza has over 10 year experience as a Consultant Physician specialising in general internal medicine and geriatric medicine. He has been awarded over £7M in grant funding for non-commercial medical research studies in the field of healthy ageing and diseases of old age. He has served as Principal Investigator in several clinical trials of medicinal products.

Dr Vera Cvoro
Principal Investigator, Fife
Dr Cvoro is a consultant  physician in geriatric medicine and stroke in Fife and Honorary Senior Lecturer, University of Edinburgh.  Involved in research for the last 20 years Dr Cvoro’s research interest cover many areas in the field of ageing and stroke disease.  She has collaborated on many multicentre trials as a PI.  Her recently funded study is looking into the brain imaging in delirium.

Professor Miles Witham
Principal Investigator, Newcastle
Professor Witham is Professor of Trials for Older People, based at the Newcastle NIHR Biomedical Research Centre. He leads a programme of work focussed on improving how we design and run trials to benefit older people, with a particular interest in interventions to improve muscle weakness (sarcopenia) and quality of life for older people. He also works as a consultant Geriatrician for Newcastle-upon-Tyne Hospitals Trust.
